This antibody was raised by immunizing mice with beta-2 adrenergic receptor.
Specificity
13D6 antibody recognizes human beta-2 adrenergic receptor. It was reported that this antibody recognizes extracellualr domains of the receptor (Han et al., 2012). Beta-adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine-induced activation of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. The beta-2-adrenergic receptor binds adrenaline with far grater affinity than noradrenaline.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: beta-2 Adrenergic R/ADRB2 Antibody (13D6) - Chimeric [NBP3-12008] - Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed HepG2 cells on Shi-fix(TM) coverslips stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of 13D6 (NBP3-12008) at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP3-12008, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control.
