Scientific Data Images for CENPT Antibody

Immunoprecipitation: CENPT Antibody [NBP1-28698]

Immunoprecipitation: CENPT Antibody [NBP1-28698]

Immunoprecipitation: CENPT Antibody [NBP1-28698] - Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CENP-T antibody NBP1-28698 used for IP at 10 ug/mg lysate. CENP-T was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CENP-T antibody NBP1-28744, which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated CENP-T, NBP1-28744 was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds.

Background: CENPT

Centromere protein T (CENP-T) is a component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. CENP-T is one of the basic inner kinetochore proteins with most further proteins binding downstream, suggesting a fundamental role of CENP-T in kinetochore function.
