Western Blot: CENPT Antibody [NBP1-28744]

Western Blot: CENPT Antibody [NBP1-28744] - Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-CENP-T antibody NBP1-28744 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 10 ug/mg lysate. CENP-T was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-CENP-T antibody NBP1-28698, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 3 seconds (B).

Background: CENPT

Centromere protein T (CENP-T) is a component of the CENPA-NAC (nucleosome-associated) complex, a complex that plays a central role in assembly of kinetochore proteins, mitotic progression and chromosome segregation. The CENPA-NAC complex recruits the CENPA-CAD (nucleosome distal) complex and may be involved in incorporation of newly synthesized CENPA into centromeres. CENP-T is one of the basic inner kinetochore proteins with most further proteins binding downstream, suggesting a fundamental role of CENP-T in kinetochore function.
