Western Blot: COG1 Antibody [NBP1-28468]

Western Blot: COG1 Antibody [NBP1-28468]

Western Blot: COG1 Antibody [NBP1-28468] - Staining of Human Cerebellum lysate (35 ug protein in RIPA buffer) with antibody at 0.1 ug/mL. Primary incubation was 1 hour. Detected by chemiluminescence. Approx. 110 kDa band observed (calculated MW of 109 kDa band according to NP_061184.1). An additional band of unknown identity was also consistently observed at 45 kDa. This band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background: COG1

The protein encoded by this gene is one of eight proteins (Cog1-8) which form a Golgi-localized complex (COG) required for normal Golgi morphology and function. It is thought that this protein is required for steps in the normal medial and trans Golgi-associated processing of glycoconjugates and plays a role in the organization of the Golgi-localized complex.

Alternate Names

COG complex subunit 1, component of oligomeric golgi complex 1CDG2G, conserved oligomeric Golgi complex subunit 1, KIAA1381DKFZp762L1710, LDLBconserved oligomeric Golgi complex protein 1, low density lipoprotein receptor defect B complementing
