Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Complexin-2 Antibody (021) [NBP2-90019] - Staining of CPLX2 in SHSY5Y cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human CPLX2 monoclonal antibody (1:60) at 4? overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green).

Flow Cytometry: Complexin-2 Antibody (021) [NBP2-90019] - Analysis of Human CPLX2 expression on SHSY5Y cells. The cells were treated, stained with purified anti-Human CPLX2, then a FITC-conjugated second step antibody. The fluorescence histograms were derived from gated events with the forward and side light-scatter characteristics of intact cells.

Background: Complexin-2

Proteins encoded by the complexin/synaphin gene family are cytosolic proteins that function in synaptic vesicle exocytosis. These proteins bind syntaxin, part of the SNAP receptor. The protein product of this gene binds to the SNAP receptor complex and disrupts it, allowing transmitter release. Two transcript variants encoding the same protein have been found for this gene.
