Applications for CTDSP1 Antibody

Application
Recommended Usage

Immunohistochemistry

1:10-1:500

Peptide ELISA

Detection limit 1:32000
Application Notes
WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 60 kDa band in human spleen, lung and placenta lysates after 0.3 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 29.2 kDa band according to NP_067021.1 and 29.1 kDa band according to NP_872580.1. The 60 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide.

Background: CTDSP1

Preferentially catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 'Ser-5' within the tandem 7 residues repeats in theC-terminal domain (CTD) of the largest RNA polymerase II subunit POLR2A. Negatively regulates RNA polymerase IItranscription, possibly by controlling the transition from initiation/capping to processive transcript elongation.Recruited by REST to neuronal genes that contain RE-1 elements, leading to neuronal gene silencing in non-neuronalcells

Alternate Names
