Western Blot: DNAJC2 Antibody [NBP2-12802]

Western Blot: DNAJC2 Antibody [NBP2-12802]

Western Blot: DNAJC2 Antibody [NBP2-12802] - Detection of human and mouse MPP11 by western blot (h and m) and immunoprecipitation (h). Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), HEK293T (T; 50 ug), Jurkat (J; 50 ug) and mouse NIH 3T3 (M; 50 ug) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MPP11 antibody NBP2-12802 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 ug/mg lysate. MPP11 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-MPP11 antibody NBP2-12803, which recognizes a downstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 10 seconds (A) and 3 seconds (B).

Background: DNAJC2

DNAJC2 is a member of the M-phase phosphoprotein (MPP) family. The gene encodes a phosphoprotein with a J domain and a Myb DNA-binding domain which localizes to both the nucleus and the cytosol. The protein is capable of forming a heterodimeric complex that associates with ribosomes, acting as a molecular chaperone for nascent polypeptide chains as they exit the ribosome. This protein was identified as a leukemia-associated antigen and expression of the gene is upregulated in leukemic blasts. Also, chromosomal aberrations involving this gene are associated with primary head and neck squamous cell tumors. This gene has a pseudogene on chromosome 6. Alternatively spliced variants which encode different protein isoforms have been described. [provided by RefSeq]
