Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: DNASE1 Antibody (006) [NBP2-90240] - Immunofluorescence staining of DNASE1 in Hela cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS,blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human DNASE1 monoclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:60) at 4? overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to Nu(R)cleus.

Background: DNASE1

DNASE1, also known as Deoxyribonuclease 1, is an endonuclease found in the zymogen granules of the nuclear envelope. Responsible for DNA fragmentation and cell death during apoptosis, DNASE1 binds to G-actin and blocks actin polymerization. Mutations in DNASE1 cause systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an autoimmune disease causing inflammation and tissue damage. DNASE1 is also known to treat symptoms of cystic fibrosis.
