Product Summary for Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody

Immunogen

Draxin/C1orf187 synthetic peptide (coupled to KLH) corresponding to amino acid residues in the C-terminal region of human Draxin/C1orf187. This peptide sequence is highly conserved in rat, mouse, and chick Draxin/C1orf187. [UniProt# Q8NBI3]

Specificity

The antibody detects a significant 50 kDa* protein corresponding to the molecular mass of Draxin/C1orf187 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of rat PC12 cells, rat P1 brain, and chick E9 brain. The antibody also shows low expression of draxin in adult mouse brain.

Clonality

Polyclonal

Host

Rabbit

Isotype

IgG

Theoretical MW

50 kDa.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Description

Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.

Scientific Data Images for Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody

Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody

Western Blot: Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody [NBP3-23287] -

Western Blot: Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody [NBP3-23287] - Western blot analysis of Draxin/C1orf187 expression in rat PC12 cells (lane 1), rat P1 brain (lane 2), adult mouse brain (lane 3), and chick E9 brain (lane 4). The blot was probed with rabbit polyclonal anti-Draxin/C1orf187 (C-terminal region) at 1:1000.

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody [NBP3-23287] -

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: Draxin/C1orf187 Antibody [NBP3-23287] - Immunocytochemical labeling of Draxin/C1orf187 in rat PC12 cells differentiated with NGF. The cells were probed with Draxin/C1orf187 (C-terminal region) rabbit polyclonal antibody, then the antibody was detected using appropriate secondary antibody conjugated to Cy3. The antibody was used in the absence (left) or presence (right) of blocking peptide. Lower images show corresponding phase images.

Background: Draxin

Chemorepulsive axon guidance protein required for the development of spinal cord and forebrain commissures.Acts as a chemorepulsive guidance protein for commissural axons during development. Able to inhibit or repel neuriteoutgrowth from dorsal spinal cord. Inhibits the stabilization of cytosolic beta-catenin (CTNNB1) via its interactionwith LRP6, thereby acting as an antagonist of Wnt signaling pathway

Long Name

Dorsal Repulsive Axon Guidance Protein

Alternate Names

C1orf187, Neucrin

Gene Symbol

DRAXIN
