Scientific Data Images for EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-05771]

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-05771]

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody [NBP3-05771] - Caco-2 cells were fixed in 4% paraformaldehyde for 10 minutes and permeabilized in 0.05% Triton X-100 in PBS for 5 minutes. The cells were incubated with anti- EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody NBP3-05771 at 2 ug/ml overnight at 4C and detected with an anti-rabbit Dylight 488 (Green) at a 1:1000 dilution for 60 minutes. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (Blue). Cells were imaged using a 100X objective and digitally deconvolved.
Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-05771]

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-05771]

Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody [NBP3-05771] - Analysis of a FFPE tissue section of mouse brain using 1:200 dilution of SLC1A3 antibody. The staining was developed using HRP labeled anti-rabbit secondary antibody and DAB reagent, and nuclei of cells were counter-stained with hematoxylin. Strong cytoplasmic and membrane reactivity were observed.
Flow Cytometry: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-05771]

Flow Cytometry: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody - BSA Free [NBP3-05771]

Flow Cytometry: EAAT1/GLAST-1/SLC1A3 Antibody [NBP3-05771] - An intracellular stain was performed on Hek293 cells with SLC1A3 Antibody NBP3-05771 (blue) and a matched isotype control (orange). Cells were fixed with 4% PFA and then permeabilized with 0.1% saponin. Cells were incubated in an antibody dilution of 1.0 ug/mL for 30 minutes at room temperature, followed by Rabbit IgG (H+L) Cross-Adsorbed Secondary Antibody, Dylight 550 (SA5-10033, Thermo Fisher).

Background: EAAT1/GLAST-1

Human excitatory amino acid transporters (EAATs) are members of a family of high affinity sodium-dependent transporter molecules that regulate neurotransmitter concentrations at the excitatory glutamatergic synapses of the mammalian central nervous system. It is believed that these proteins reduce extracellular glutamate concentration, thereby modulating synaptic signaling. In addition, EAATs may also be important for the prevention of glutamate excitotoxicity. EAAT1 is prominently expressed in the frontal cortex, hippocampus and basal ganglia and is also reported to be found in heart, placenta, lung and striated muscle. EAAT1 shares some pharmacological similarities with EAAT3 and both are potent antagonists that appear to specifically block transport mediated by EAAT2. EAAT1 transports L-glutamate and also L- and D-aspartate, acting as a symport by co-transporting sodium. EAAT1 is essential for terminating the postsynaptic action of glutamate, by rapidly removing released glutamate from the synaptic cleft.
