Background: ECRG4

ECRG4, also known as C2orf40 or Chromosome 2 Open Reading Frame 40, is a secreted hormone that may stimulate senescence of neural precursor cells and oligodendrocytes. Current research on ECRG4is being performed in relation to several diseases and disorders including esophageal cancer, esophagitis and breast cancer. ECRG4 has also been shown to interact with p53.

Alternate Names

chromosome 2 open reading frame 40, ECRG4augurin, esophageal cancer related gene 4 protein, Esophageal cancer-related gene 4 protein
