Background: eIF3X

eIF3X (putative eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 subunit) belongs to the eIF-3 p135 family of evolutionarily conserved eIF-3 135kDa subunits found in yeast, nematode, slime mold, and human cells. In yeast, eIF3 p135 is not part of the core eIF-3 complex, but is proposed to be a probable component with unknown function
