Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: ETV3 Antibody [NBP2-98676] - Immunofluorescence staining of ETV3 in U251MG cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human ETV3 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to Nucleus.

Background: ETV3

The ETV3 gene encodes an ETS translocation variant 3 protein, that in isoform 1 is 512 amino acids long at 57 kDA and in isoform 2 is 143 amino acids long at nearly 17 kDA. This protein functions in terminal macrophage differentiation as a transcriptional repressor that contributes to growth arrest. It also represses MMP1 promoter activity and interacts with the MYC and DDX20 genes. ETV3 is linked to diseases heart disease, hypertension, ADHD, and conduct disorder.
