Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-FOXO1a antibody NB100-2312 (lot NB100-2312-3) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. FOXO1a was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot NB100-2312-2). For blotting immunoprecipitated FOXO1a, NB100-2312 was used at 0.4 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which are characterized by a distinct forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it may play a role in myogenic growth and differentiation. Translocation of this gene with PAX3 has been associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma.
