Application Notes
WB: Preliminary experiments gave an approx. 60 kDa band in human lymph node and testis lysates after 0.03 ug/ml antibody staining. Please note that currently we cannot find an explanation in the literature for the band we observe given the calculated size of 185 kDa band according to NP_055450.1 and of 196 kDa band according to NP_852118.1. The 60 kDa band was successfully blocked by incubation with the immunizing peptide. IHC-P: Paraffin embedded Human Spleen, Small Intestine and Kidney.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions of this antibody should be experimentally determined.

Background: GCC185

The protein encoded by this gene is a peripheral membrane protein localized to the trans-Golgi network. It is sensitive to brefeldin A. This encoded protein contains a GRIP domain which is thought to be used in targeting. Two alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene.
