Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: GIPR Antibody (Gipg013) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP2-81068]
Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: GIPR Antibody (Gipg013) - Chimeric [NBP2-81068] - Immunofluoresence staining of fixed MDA-MB-231 cells with GIPR Antibody (Gipg013) [NBP2-81068]. Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed MDA-MB-231 cells, permeabilized with 0.15% Triton stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of Gipg013 [NBP2-81068] at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody (1 ug/ml), showing cytoplasmic staining with additional puncta. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP2-81068, DAPI, merged channels and a negative control. The negative control was stained with unimmunized rabbit IgG followed by Alexa Fluor 488 secondary antibody.Applications for GIPR Antibody (Gipg013) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free

Application Notes
This full-length, chimeric rabbit antibody was made using the variable domain sequences of the original Mouse scFv format, for improved compatibility with existing reagents, assays and techniques. This antibody binds to GIPr, a GPCR expressed on pancreatic beta-cells, where activation leads to the release of insulin. Endogeonous ligands for the receptor include oleylethanolamide and lysophosphatidylcholine. The antibody acts as a competitive antagonist. In rat islets, the antibody inhibits GIP-induced secretion of insulin by up to 81%.
Please Note: Optimal dilutions of this antibody should be experimentally determined.
