Background: OMgp

OMgp is a GPI-anchored protein derived from myelin. It is expressed on oligodendrocytes and neurons and binds to a receptor complex consisting of the Nogo receptor and the p75 neurotrophin receptor, NGF R. OMgp is active in the inhibition of axonal outgrowth as well as regeneration following injury.
