Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat GBL Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat G betaL by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HeLa human cervical epithelial carcinoma cell line, MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line, Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line, and PC-12 rat adrenal pheochromocytoma cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat G betaL Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4004) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). A specific band was detected for G betaL at approximately 40 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.G betaL in Human Prostate.
G betaL was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human prostate using Goat Anti-Human/Mouse/Rat G betaL Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF4004) at 10 µg/mL overnight at 4 °C. Tissue was stained using the Anti-Goat HRP-DAB Cell & Tissue Staining Kit (brown; Catalog # CTS008) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to neuronal cell bodies. View our protocol for Chromogenic IHC Staining of Paraffin-embedded Tissue Sections.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat GBL Antibody

Background: GBL
G-protein beta-subunit-like (G betaL), also known as mLST8, is a subunit of the Target of Rapamycin (TOR) complex. G betaL contains 7 WD-40 repeats, and binds to the kinase domain of TOR in both the Raptor (Rapamycin-sensitive)-and Rictor (Rapamycin-insensitive)-containing complexes. G betaL is necessary for the full activation of the TOR kinase, and phosphorylation of many downstream proteins, including 4E-BP1 and p70S6 kinase.
