Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse/Rat Talin1 Antibody
Detection of Human/Mouse/Rat Talin1 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of Daudi human Burkitt's lymphoma cell line, Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line, L1.2 mouse pro-B cell line, and NRK rat normal kidney cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 1 µg/mL of Human/Mouse/Rat Talin1 Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF5456) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF109). A specific band was detected for Talin1 at approximately 250-270 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 2.Applications for Human/Mouse/Rat Talin1 Antibody

Background: Talin1
Talin1 (talus; Latin for ankle, the shape of a focal adhesion plaque complex) is a 250‑270 kDa member of the I/LWEQ module superfamily. When activated, it serves as a cytoplasmic, homodimeric link between integrins and vinculin, an actin organizer. Human Talin1 is 2541 amino acids (aa) in length and contains one globular N‑terminal FERM domain that binds integrin cytodomains (aa 86‑403), and a rod shaped C‑terminus (aa 482‑2541) that binds vinculin, and contains an I/LWEQ dimerization domain (aa 2293‑2533). Over amino acids 975‑1181, human Talin1 shares 98% aa identity with mouse Talin1.
