Scientific Data Images for Human PTGER3 Antibody
Detection of Human PTGER3 by Western Blot.
Western blot shows lysates of HEK293T human embryonic kidney cell line either mock transfected or transfected with human PTGER3. PVDF membrane was probed with 2 µg/mL of Mouse Anti-Human PTGER3 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10243) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF018). A specific band was detected for PTGER3 at approximately 73 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.Detection of Cannabinoid PTGER3 in HEK293 Human Cell Line Transfected with Human PTGER3 and eGFP by Flow Cytometry.
HEK293 human embryonic kidney cell line transfected with either (A) human PTGER3 or (B) irrelevant protein, and eGFP was stained with Mouse Anti-Human PTGER3 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB10243) followed by Allophycocyanin-conjugated Anti-Mouse IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0101B). Quadrant markers were set based on control antibody staining (Catalog # MAB002). View our protocol for Staining Membrane-associated Proteins.Applications for Human PTGER3 Antibody

Background: PTGER3
Human Prostaglandin EP3 receptor, also known as EP3 or PTGER3, is a 53kDa prostaglandin receptor for prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) encoded by the PTGER3 gene. PTGER3 is a G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) of the rhodopsin-like receptor family. Along with several other receptor subtypes (EP1, EP2, and EP4), it mediates the diverse biological effects of Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2). PGE2 has been implicated in numerous processes, including immune response modulation, male erectile function, induction of labor, cervical cancer, control of blood pressure, and asthma. Various isoforms are produced by alternative splicing. Prostaglandin E2 Receptor EP3 expression has been documented throughout the periphery, especially kidney. ESTs have been isolated primarily from kidney libraries.
