PTPRZ, also known as Protein tyrosine phosphatase beta/zeta (PTP beta/ zeta), is a member of the receptor-type protein-tyrosine phosphatase family. This phosphatase is involved in the regulation of specific developmental processes in the central nervous system. A protein of 2,307 amino acids, PTPRZ is membrane-spanning with two cytoplasmic protein tyrosine phosphatase domains and an extracellular domain.
