Flow Cytometry: IL-17F Antibody (8F5.1A9) - Chimeric [NBP3-12034] - Mouse splenocytes were stimulated with PMA and Ionomycin in presence of Monensin for 4 hours. The cells were fixed using 2% PFA, permeabilized using 0.5% Triton and stained with anti-Fluorescein IgG antibody (4-4-20; isotype control, black line) or the rabbit IgG version of 8F5.1A9 (NBP3-12034, blue line) at a dilution of 1:100 for 1h at RT. After washing, bound antibody was detected using a goat anti-mouse IgG AlexaFluor(R) 488 antibody at a dilution of 1:1000 and cells were analyzed using a FACSCanto flow-cytometer.

Background: IL-17F

IL17F is encoded by this gene is a cytokine that shares sequence similarity with IL17. This cytokine is expressed by activated T cells, and has been shown to stimulate the production of several other cytokines, including IL6, IL8, and CSF2/GM_CSF. This cytokine is also found to inhibit the angiogenesis of endothelial cells and induce endothelial cells to produce IL2, TGFB1/TGFB, and monocyte chemoattractant protein-1. [provided by RefSeq]
