Immunoprecipitation: L3MBTL2 Antibody [NBP1-49965] - Detection of Human L3MBTL2 by Western Blot of Immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-L3MBTL2 antibody used for IP at 3 mcg/mg lysate. L3MBTL2 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-L3MBTL2 antibody which recognizes an upstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated L3MBTL2 was used at 1 mcg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Putative Polycomb group (PcG) protein. PcG proteins maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of genes,probably via a modification of chromatin, rendering it heritably changed in its expressibility. Its association with achromatin-remodeling complex suggests that it may contribute to prevent expression of genes that trigger the cell intomitosis
