Background: LPAR6/P2RY5

The purinergic receptor P2Y5 (P2RY5) is a member of the Purinergic Receptor subfamily. Membrane-bound P2 receptors mediate the actions of extracellular nucleotides in cell-to-cell signaling. P2Y5 expression has been documented in dendritic cells, monocyte-derived dendritic cells, and macrophages. ESTs have been isolated from embryo, heart/melanocyte/uterus, kidney, liver/spleen, lung, pancreas, placenta, uterus, and vessel libraries.
