Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-JMJD2C antibody NB110-38884 lot 2 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. JMJD2C was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-JMJD2C antibody NB110-38884 Lot 1. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

Background: Lysine (K)-specific Demethylase 4C/KDM4C

This gene is a member of the Jumonji domain 2 (JMJD2) family and encodes a protein with one JmjC domain, one JmjN domain, two PHD-type zinc fingers, and two Tudor domains. This nuclear protein functions as a trimethylation-specific demethylase, converting specific trimethylated histone residues to the dimethylated form. Chromosomal aberrations and increased transcriptional expression of this gene are associated with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
