MAO-A Antibody (5D1-R)

Western Blot: MAO-A Antibody (5D1-R) [NBP3-32566]

Western Blot: MAO-A Antibody (5D1-R) [NBP3-32566] - Western blot analysis of MAO-A on different lysates with Mouse anti-MAO-A antibody (NBP3-32566) at 1/1,000 dilution.

Lane 1: Rat brain tissue lysate
Lane 2: Mouse brain tissue lysate

Lysates/proteins at 40 ug/Lane.

Predicted band size: 60 kDa
Observed band size: 70 kDa

Exposure time: 25 seconds;

4-20% SDS-PAGE gel.

Proteins were transferred to a PVDF membrane and blocked with 5% NFDM/TBST for 1 hour at room temperature. The primary antibody (NBP3-32566) at 1/1,000 dilution was used in 5% NFDM/TBST at 4 overnight. Anti-Mouse IgG for IP Nano-secondary antibody (NBI02H) at 1/5,000 dilution was used for 1 hour at room temperature.
MAO-A Antibody (5D1-R)

Immunohistochemistry: MAO-A Antibody (5D1-R) [NBP3-32566]

Immunohistochemistry: MAO-A Antibody (5D1-R) [NBP3-32566] - Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin-embedded human colon cancer tissue with Mouse anti-MAO-A antibody (NBP3-32566) at 1/1,000 dilution.

The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0) for 20 minutes. The tissues were blocked in 1% BSA for 20 minutes at room temperature, washed with ddH2O and PBS, and then probed with the primary antibody (NBP3-32566) at 1/1,000 dilution for 1 hour at room temperature. The detection was performed using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. Tissues were counterstained with hematoxylin and mounted with DPX.

Background: MAO-A

Monoamine Oxidase A catalyzes the oxidative deamination of biogenic and xenobiotic amines and has important functions in the metabolism of neuroactive and vasoactive amines in the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. MAOA preferentially oxidizes biogenic amines such as 5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HT), norepinephrine and epinephrine.
