Background: MFSD1

The MFSD1 gene encodes a major facilitator superfamily domain-containing protein 1 that exists in four isoforms: isoform 1: 465 amino acids long, 51 kDA; isoform 2: 78 amino acids long, 8 kDA; isoform 3: 426 amino acids long, 46 kDA; and isoform 4: 392 amino acids long, 43 kDA. MFSD1 interacts with genes UBC, TMEM33, RAB10, and TOMM70A. This gene has been linked to salivary gland cancer.
