Antibody Source

Monoclonal Rat IgG2A Clone # 199215

Product Specifications

Immunogen

BaF3 mouse pro-B cell line transfected with Rae-1 beta and Mouse myeloma cell line NS0-derived recombinant mouse Rae-1 delta

Specificity

Detects mouse Rae‑1 alpha/ beta/ gamma. When tested in flow cytometry against a panel of transfectants expressing different Rae-1 proteins, this antibody recognizes mouse Rae-1 alpha, beta and gamma. It does not recognize Rae-1 delta or epsilon.

Clonality

Monoclonal

Host

Rat

Isotype

IgG2A

Endotoxin Level

<0.10 EU per 1 μg of the antibody by the LAL method.

Scientific Data Images for Mouse Rae-1 alpha/ beta/ gamma Antibody

Detection of Rae-1 antibody in RAW 264.7 Mouse Cell Line antibody by Flow Cytometry.

Detection of Rae‑1 in RAW 264.7 Mouse Cell Line by Flow Cytometry.

RAW 264.7 mouse monocyte/macrophage cell line was stained with Rat Anti-Mouse Rae-1 alpha/beta/gamma Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1758, filled histogram) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # MAB006, open histogram), followed by Phycoerythrin-conjugated Anti-Rat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # F0105B). Applications for Mouse Rae-1 alpha/ beta/ gamma Antibody

Application
Recommended Usage

Blockade of Receptor-ligand Interaction

In a functional ELISA, 0.2-0.6 µg/mL of this antibody will block 50% of the binding of 125 ng/mL of Recombinant Mouse NKG2D Fc Chimera (Catalog # 139-NK) to immobilized Recombinant Mouse Rae-1 beta Fc Chimera (Catalog # 1198-RA) coated at 1 µg/mL (100 µL/well). At 3 μg/mL, this antibody will block >90% of the binding. This antibody also blocks the binding of Recombinant Mouse NKG2D Fc Chimera to Recombinant Mouse Rae-1 alpha and Rae-1 gamma.

CyTOF-ready

Ready to be labeled using established conjugation methods. No BSA or other carrier proteins that could interfere with conjugation.

Flow Cytometry

0.25 µg/106 cells
Sample: RAW 264.7 mouse monocyte/macrophage cell line
Please Note: Optimal dilutions of this antibody should be experimentally determined.

Background: Rae-1

The Rae-1 family is a group of closely related GPI-linked proteins that function as ligands for NKG2D. Binding of Rae-1 proteins to NKG2D results in the activation of cytolytic activity and/or cytokine production by effector T cells and NK cells.
