Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: OBFC1 Antibody [NBP2-99011] - Immunofluorescence staining of OBFC1 in U251MG cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human OBFC1 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:1000) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor$488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green). Positive staining was localized to nucleus.

Background: OBFC1

OBFC1 and C17ORF68 (MIM 613129) are subunits of an alpha accessory factor (AAF) that stimulates the activity of DNApolymerase-alpha-primase (see MIM 176636), the enzyme that initiates DNA replication (Casteel et al., 2009 (PubMed19119139)). OBFC1 also appears to function in a telomere-associated complex with C17ORF68 and TEN1 (C17ORF106; MIM613130) (Miyake et al., 2009 (PubMed 19854130)).(supplied by OMIM)
