Description

CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

Background: OR10C1

Olfactory receptors interact with odorant molecules in the nose, to initiate a neuronal response that triggers theperception of a smell. The olfactory receptor proteins are members of a large family of G-protein-coupled receptors(GPCR) arising from single coding-exon genes. Olfactory receptors share a 7-transmembrane domain structure with manyneurotransmitter and hormone receptors and are responsible for the recognition and G protein-mediated transduction ofodorant signals. The olfactory receptor gene family is the largest in the genome. The nomenclature assigned to theolfactory receptor genes and proteins for this organism is independent of other organisms.
