Product Summary for Plexin A1 Antibody (M535)

Immunogen

Clone M535 was generated from a Plexin A1 synthetic peptide (coupled to carrier protein) corresponding to a region within the N-terminal half of the semaphorin domain in human Plexin A1. This sequence is highly conserved in rat and mouse Plexin A1, and has low homology to other Plexin family members. [UniProt# Q9UIW2]

Specificity

The antibody detects a 220 kDa protein corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Plexin A1 on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of neonatal mouse brain, and detects a recombinant mouse Plexin A1 protein containing the extracellular region.

Clonality

Monoclonal

Host

Mouse

Isotype

IgG1

Theoretical MW

220 kDa.
Disclaimer note: The observed molecular weight of the protein may vary from the listed predicted molecular weight due to post translational modifications, post translation cleavages, relative charges, and other experimental factors.

Description

Stable for at least 1 year at -20°C.

Plexin A1 Antibody (M535)

Western Blot: Plexin A1 Antibody (M535) [NBP3-23316] -

Western Blot: Plexin A1 Antibody (M535) [NBP3-23316] - Western blots showing mouse recombinant Plexin A1 extracellular domain (lanes 1-4). These blots were probed with rabbit polyclonal anti-Plexin A1 (NBP3-23309) at 1:250 (lane 1) and 1:1000 (lane 2) or with mouse monoclonal anti-Plexin A1 (NBP3-23316) at 1:250 (lane 3) and 1:1000 (lane 4).

Background: Plexin A1

Coreceptor for SEMA3A, SEMA3C, SEMA3F and SEMA6D. Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, invasive growth and cell migration. Class 3 semaphorins bind to a complex composed of a neuropilin and a plexin. The plexin modulates the affinity of the complex for specific semaphorins, and its cytoplasmic domain is required for the activation of down-stream signaling events in the cytoplasm
