Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: PUM2 Antibody [NBP2-97161] - Immunofluorescence staining of PUM2 in U2OS cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human PUM2 polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG Secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue).Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.

Background: PUM2

Pumilio 2 is a component of conserved cellular machinery required for germ cell development, Pum2 is a human homolog of Pumilio, which helps maintain germ line stem cells in Drosophila and C. elegans. Pum2 forms a stable complex with DAZ through the same functional domain required for RNA binding and protein-protein interactions. Pum2 is expressed predominantly in human embryonic stem cells and germ cells and colocalizes with DAZ and DAZL in germ cells.
