Immunoprecipitation: RER1 Antibody [NBP2-37700] - Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Affinity purified rabbit anti-RER1 antibody used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. RER1 was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-RER1 antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated RER1, was used at 1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.

Background: RER1

The protein encoded by the RER1 gene is a multi-pass membrane protein that is localized to the golgi apparatus. It is involved in the retention of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) membrane proteins in the ER and retrieval of ER membrane proteins from the early Golgi compartment to facilitate gamma-secretase complex assembly.
