Immunogen

Antibody was raised against a 16 amino acid synthetic peptide from near the amino terminus of human SYPL1. The immunogen is located within the first 50 amino acids of SYPL1. Amino Acid Squence: APNIYLVRQRISRLGQ

Specificity

This antibody will not recognize synaptophysin of SYPL2. Two isoforms of SYPL1 are known to exist; this antibody will only recognize the longer isoform.

Description

CoraFluor(TM) 1 is a high performance terbium-based TR-FRET (Time-Resolved Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer) or TRF (Time-Resolved Fluorescence) donor for high throughput assay development. CoraFluor(IM) 1 absorbs UV light at approximately 340 nm, and emits at approximately 490 nm, 545 nm, 585 nm and 620 nm. It is compatible with common acceptor dyes that absorb at the emission wavelengths of CoraFluor(TM) 1. CoraFluor(TM) 1 can be used for the development of robust and scalable TR-FRET binding assays such as target engagement, ternary complex, protein-protein interaction and protein quantification assays.

Background: SYPL1

SYPL1 is a gene that codes for a protein that has two isoforms, with lengths of 259 and 241 amino acids and weights of approximately 29 and 26 kDa respectively. Current research is being done on diseases and disorders related to this gene including neruonitis and alcoholism. SYPL1 has also been shown to have interactions with VAMP2.
