ELISA: TASP1 Antibody [NBP3-18680]

ELISA: TASP1 Antibody [NBP3-18680] - Figure 1. Determination of the titer To determine the titer, an ELISA was performed using a serial dilution of the antibody directed against human TASP1 . The plates were coated with a mix of the peptides used for immunization of the rabbit. By plotting the absorbance against the antibody dilution (Figure 1), the titer of the antibody was estimated to be 1:43,500.

Background: TASP1

TASP1 encodes an endopeptidase that cleaves specific substrates following aspartate residues. The encoded protein undergoes posttranslational autoproteolytic processing to generate alpha and beta subunits, which reassemble into the active alpha2-beta2 heterotetramer. It is required to cleave MLL, a protein required for the maintenance of HOX gene expression, and TFIIA, a basal transcription factor. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described, but their biological validity has not been determined. [provided by RefSeq]
