Background: TIPRL

In Saccharomyces cerevisiae Tip41 is implicated to play a role in the TOR (target of rapamycin) pathway which regulates cell growth in response to nutrient signals. Tip 41 negatively regulates the TOR pathway by binding and inhibiting TAP42, an inhibitor of the SIT4 phosphatase. Alternate designations for Tip41 are Tip41 TOR signaling pathway regulator-like, TIPRL, MGC3794, dJ69E11.3, and RP1-69E11.1.

Alternate Names

dJ69E11.3, MGC3794, putative MAPK activating protein, Putative MAPK-activating protein PM10, TIP41, TOR signaling pathway regulator-like (S. cerevisiae), TIP41-like protein, TIP41Type 2A-interacting protein, TIPTIP41, TOR signalling pathway regulator-like (S. cerevisiae)
