Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: TRAX Antibody [NBP2-98951]

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: TRAX Antibody [NBP2-98951]

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: TRAX Antibody [NBP2-98951] - Immunofluorescence staining of TRAX in HeLa cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.3% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-human TRAX polyclonal antibody (1:1000) at 4C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor(R)488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green).Positive staining was localized to cytoplasm and nucleus.

Background: TRAX

Translin (TSN) is a DNA-binding protein that specifically binds to consensus sequences at breakpoint junctions of chromosomal translocations in many cases of lymphoid malignancies. TRAX (translin-associated factor X)was isolated as a protein that specifically interacted with TSN in cotransformation and in vitro interaction assays. TRAX bears a homology to Translin. Translin and TRAX have been proposed to be involved in DNA recombination, chromosomal translocation and mRNA transport and translation.
