Biological Activity for Kartogenin

Kartogenin potently induces differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells into chondrocytes (EC₅₀ = 100 nM). Reduces disease severity in a mouse model of osteoarthritis; displays protective effects against osteoarthritic stimuli in mature chondrocytes in vitro.
