ATRIP: Proteins and Enzymes

ATRIP (Ataxia Telangiectasia and Rad 3-related Interacting Protein), a substrate for the ATR kinase, is necessary for cell cycle checkpoint activation after cellular exposure to DNA damage. Loss of either ATR or ATRIP protein expression results in a concomitant decrease in expression of the other protein, which suggests that ATR and ATRIP are tightly-linked partners in genotoxic stress signaling.
