FoxJ1: Lysates
Human FOXJ1 is a member of the forkhead box family of transcription factors. Forkhead proteins are characterized by a conserved DNA binding motif, 100 amino acids in length. FOXJ1 induces cilia in lung and oviduct, and maintains T cell tolerance to self-antigens. It is also known to modulate NFkB activity. Mice deficient in FoxJ1 lack all cilia and display left-right asymmetry defects resembling those seen in humans with Kartagener syndrome.
