GNG11: Proteins and Enzymes

GNG11, also known as Guanine nucleotide-binding protein G(I)/G(S)/G(O) subunit gamma-11, is a 73 amino acid that is 8 kDa, plays a role in transmembrane signaling system, its beta and gamma chains are essential for the GTPase activity, for replacement of GDP by GTP, and for G protein-effector interaction. This protein has been linked to splenic marginal zone lymphoma disease. The GNG11 protein has shown an interaction with ZHX1, GNB1, SMURF1, AMOTL2, GCG, and over 20 other proteins in several pathways including chemokine signaling pathway, glutamatergic synapse, cholinergic synapse, signal transduction cAMP signaling, G-protein signaling regulation of p38 and JNK signaling mediated by G-proteins, G-protein signaling G-Protein alpha-i signaling cascades, inhibitory action of lipoxins and resolvin E1 on neutrophil functions, signal transduction activation of PKC via G-Protein coupled receptor, molecular mechanisms of cancer, intracellular calcium signaling, CDK5 pathway, JNK pathway, and ERK5 signaling.
