Western Blot: CCR5 Antibody (RC-10) - Chimeric [NBP3-12000] - Jurkat (A), Molt4 (B), K562 (C) and Daudi (D) cell lysates (35ug protein in RIPA buffer) were resolved on a SDS PAGE gel and blots were probed with the chimeric rabbit version of RC-10 (NBP3-12000) at 0.0003 ug/ml, 0.001 ug/ml, 0.003 ug/ml and unknown ug/ml, respectively, before detection using an anti-rabbit secondary antibody. A primary incubation of 1h was used and protein was detected by chemiluminescence.

Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence: CCR5 Antibody (RC-10) - Chimeric - Azide and BSA Free [NBP3-12000]

Immunocytochemistry/Immunofluorescence: CCR5 Antibody (RC-10) - Chimeric [NBP3-12000] - Immunofluorescence analysis of paraformaldehyde fixed U937 cells on Shi-fix(TM) coverslips stained with the chimeric rabbit IgG version of RC-10 (NBP3-12000) at 10 ug/ml for 1h followed by Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody (2 ug/ml), showing membrane staining. The nuclear stain is DAPI (blue). Panels show from left-right, top-bottom NBP3-12000, DAPI, merged channels and an isotype control. The isotype control was an unknown specificity antibody followed by staining with Alexa Fluor(R) 488 secondary antibody.

Background: CCR5

C-C chemokine receptor type 5 (CCR5) is a member of the beta chemokine receptors family of integral membrane proteins. The CCR5 protein is a G protein-coupled receptor which functions as a chemokine receptor in the CC chemokine group.

CCR5 is a major coreceptor for human HIV infection and is predominantly expressed on T cells, macrophages, dendritic cells and microglia. It is likely that CCR5 plays a role in inflammatory responses to infection, though its exact role in normal immune function is unclear.

CCR5 antibodies are useful for HIV infection studies and research on immune responses.
