Background: CITED4

CITED4 is a member of the CITED family proteins that bind to CBP/p300 transcriptional integrators and functions as a transcriptional coactivator of TFAP2/AP-2. CITED-4 has been proposed as a inhibitor of transactivation for HIF-1 alpha, as it is thought to disrupt HIF-1a interaction with CREBBP.

CITED 4 antibodies are useful tools for research on hypoxic response mechanisms.
