Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin: DAP10/HCST Antibody (982101) [Unconjugated] [MAB97861] - DAP10/HCST was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of human kidney using Mouse Anti-Human DAP10/HCST Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB97861) at 5 ug/mL for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Mouse IgG VisUCyte HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC001). Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # CTS013). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to cell nuclei.

Background: DAP10/HCST

HCST encodes a transmembrane signaling adaptor that contains a YxxM motif in its cytoplasmic domain. The encoded protein may form part of the immune recognition receptor complex with the C-type lectin-like receptor NKG2D. As part of this receptor complex, this protein may activate phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase dependent signaling pathways through its intracytoplasmic YxxM motif. This receptor complex may have a role in cell survival and proliferation by activation of NK and T cell responses. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding different isoforms.
