Background: Chitobiase/CTBS
Di-N-acetyl-chitobiase (CTBS) is a lysosomal glycosidase that is involved in the degradation of asparagine-linked glycoproteins. The amino acid sequence of human CTBS shares 99%, 86%, 82%, and 77% identity with that of chimpanzee, mouse, rat, and canine CTBS, respectively.
