Specificity
Detects mouse Frizzled-3 in direct ELISAs. In direct ELISAs, no cross-reactivity with recombinant mouse Frizzled-1, -4, -7, or -8 is observed. By immunohistochemistry, this antibody also detects mouse Frizzled-3 on differentiated embryoid bodies derived from the mouse embryonic cell line, D3. This antibody also detects Frizzled-3 on human HEK293 cells by immunocytochemistry.

Detection of Frizzled-3 in Mouse Cortex.
Frizzled-3 was detected in immersion fixed paraffin-embedded sections of mouse cortex using Rat Anti-Human/Mouse Frizzled-3 Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # MAB1001) at 0.5 µg/ml for 1 hour at room temperature followed by incubation with the Anti-Rat IgG VisUCyte™ HRP Polymer Antibody (Catalog # VC005) . Before incubation with the primary antibody, tissue was subjected to heat-induced epitope retrieval using VisUCyte Antigen Retrieval Reagent-Basic (Catalog # VCTS021). Tissue was stained using DAB (brown) and counterstained with hematoxylin (blue). Specific staining was localized to the cell surface.
