Scientific Data Images for Human/Mouse WASP Antibody

Detection of Human, Mouse and Rat WASP antibody by Western Blot.

Detection of Human, Mouse and Rat WASP by Western Blot.

Western blot shows lysates of NRK rat normal kidney cell, K562 human chronic myelogenous leukemia cell line, and Balb/3T3 mouse embryonic fibroblast cell line. PVDF membrane was probed with 0.5 µg/mL of Goat Anti-Human/Mouse WASP Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3070) followed by HRP-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (Catalog # HAF019). A specific band was detected for WASP at approximately 60 kDa (as indicated). This experiment was conducted under reducing conditions and using Immunoblot Buffer Group 1.
WASP antibody in Jurkat Human Cell Line by Immunocytochemistry (ICC).

WASP in Jurkat Human Cell Line.

WASP was detected in immersion fixed Jurkat human acute T cell leukemia cell line using Goat Anti-Human/Mouse WASP Antigen Affinity-purified Polyclonal Antibody (Catalog # AF3070) at 15 µg/mL for 3 hours at room temperature. Cells were stained using the NorthernLights™ 557-conjugated Anti-Goat IgG Secondary Antibody (red; Catalog # NL001) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Specific staining was localized to cytoplasm. View our protocol for Fluorescent ICC Staining of Non-adherent Cells.

Background: WASP

WASP is a 54 kDa protein belonging to the WASP/SCAR/WAVE family of proteins involved in actin polymerization. It is a highly conserved protein and is expressed selectively in hematopoietic stem cell-derived lineages. WASP contains multiple domains with unique functions. Mutations in WASP are associated with diseases of the hematopoietic/immunologic system.
