Western Blot: KIDINS220 Antibody [NBP1-50034] - Detection of Human ARMS by Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate from HeLa (5, 15 and 50 mcg for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) and 293T (T; 50 mcg) cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-ARMS antibody used for WB at 0.1 mcg/ml (A) and 1 mcg/ml (B) and used for IP at 6 mcg/mg lysate. ARMS was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-ARMS antibody which recognizes a downstream epitope. For blotting immunoprecipitated ARMS, the ReliaBLOT Reagents and Procedures were used. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 3 minutes (A) and 30 seconds (B).

Background: KIDINS220

A novel protein kinase D-interacting substrate of 220 kDa (Kidins220) is the first identified Protein kinase D (PKD), a serine/threonine kinase. Kidins220 is an integral membrane protein that is expressed in brain and neuroendocrine cells. Kidins220 is phosphorylated by PKD at serine 919 in vivo. Kidins220 has also been shown to function downstream of the Trks and Eph receptors.
