Immunoprecipitation: MAP1B Antibody [NB100-68256]

Immunoprecipitation: MAP1B Antibody [NB100-68256]

Immunoprecipitation: MAP1B Antibody [NB100-68256] - Detection of human MAP1B by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from HEK293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MAP1B antibody NB100-68256 (lot NB100-68256-2) used for IP at 6 ug per reaction. MAP1B was also immunoprecipitated by a previous lot of this antibody (lot NB100-68256-1) and another rabbit anti-MAP1B antibody. For blotting immunoprecipitated MAP1B, NB100-68256 was used at 0.1 ug/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 seconds

Background: MAP1B

This gene encodes a protein that belongs to the microtubule-associated protein family. The proteins of this family are thought to be involved in microtubule assembly, which is an essential step in neurogenesis. The product of this gene is a precursor polypeptide that presumably undergoes proteolytic processing to generate the final MAP1B heavy chain and LC1 light chain. Gene knockout studies of the mouse microtubule-associated protein 1B gene suggested an important role in development and function of the nervous system.
