PGD Antibody

Immunoprecipitation:PGD AntibodyNBP3-29862] -

Immunoprecipitation:PGD AntibodyNBP3-29862] -Detection of human PGD by western blot of immunoprecipitates. Samples: Whole cell lysate (0.5 or 1.0 mg per IP reaction; 20% of IP loaded) from 293T cells prepared using NETN lysis buffer. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-PGD antibody NBP3-29862 (lot NBP3-29862-1) used for IP at 6 µg per reaction. PGD was also immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-PGD antibody BL21392. For blotting immunoprecipitated PGD, NBP3-29862 was used at 1 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 30 seconds.

Background: 6-Phosphogluconate Dehydrogenase/PGD

6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase is the second dehydrogenase in the pentose phosphate shunt. Deficiency of this enzyme is generally asymptomatic, and the inheritance of this disorder is autosomal dominant. Hemolysis results from combined deficiency of 6-phosphogluconate dehydrogenase and 6-phosphogluconolactonase suggesting a synergism of the two enzymopathies.
